5 English Language Resources for Homeschooling Parents
In this article we list 5 recommended English language resources for homeschooling parents and their children can benefit from in working to improve their language learning skills.
Promoting Our Four Language Skills
In building basic language skills, children will come to appreciate how each skill begins to build on other language skills. At EduKitchen, we believe that parents should have children understand that listening and reading are skills specific to the individual’s growth in undersanding language, while speaking and writing are skills grow through the knowledge they share with others. Word choice therefore becomes very important when children begin to speak or write.
One important method in promoting language skills is through visual aids. The resources we share can that are designed to be used in the traditional classroom, can just as easily be used in the homeschooling classroom.
Visual aids we share include posters, infographics, and presentations. You can find our resources through our profiles in Canva and Teachers Pay Teachers. An infographic we have for free is how to promote language skills in the classroom which highlights the benefits of each of the four language skills.
